New Media Film Festival Announces Early Nominees for the 9th Annual New Media Film Festival in LA


Los Angeles (February 24, 2018) – The New Media Film Festival announces early nominees for the 9th Annual New Media Film Festival in Los Angeles. With a view to honoring stories that are worth telling, the festival is all set to present $45000 in awards. To judge the works of content creators, judges will be from HBO, Marvel and many such top leaders in the media domain.

The festival will take place on the 16th and 17th of June 2018 in Los Angeles at James Bridges Theatre. Some of the early nominees include:

Animation Category
Country: Italy, Bulgaria
L.A. Premiere!
Director: Fausto Montanari for his film on equality and reflection about what could be judged strange.

Digital Comic Category
Country: USA
World Premiere!
Written by: Eric Borden for his comic on the crew of the Runaway Horse as they make their way in the New Pacific.

The Invisible Walls of Occupation
New Media Category
Country: Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories
L.A. Premiere!
Director: Osnat Skoblinski for leading viewers on a virtual tour of the Palestinian village of Burqah.
